PinkLAB Selected for the Korea Institute of Design Promotion's Design–Online Manufacturing Platform Program
AI robotics specialist PinkLAB, led by CEO Hyunggi Min, announced on the 29th that it had been selected for the Korea Institute of Design Promotion's Design–Online Manufacturing Platform Program. The program connects professional design expertise with online manufacturing platforms during product development to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses. With this support, PinkLAB plans to improve the product design and user experience of its next-generation AI robotics platform currently under development.

PinkLAB Plans to Launch an OpenARM-Based Mobile Dual-Arm Robot Solution
Physical AI and robotics education company PinkLAB announced on the 16th that it would launch a mobile dual-arm robot solution based on the open-source OpenARM project. Combining dual arms with an autonomous mobile robot, the solution is designed as an integrated platform for education, research, and development. Users can move the robot and operate both arms simultaneously for Physical AI and mobile manipulation research.

PinkLAB Begins Physical AI Mobile Dual-Arm Robot Trials at a Medical Logistics Center
PinkLAB announced on the 23rd that it would begin field trials of its mobile dual-arm robot solution in medical logistics, accelerating commercialization in Physical AI. The company was selected for a demonstration project jointly pursued with Taejeon Pharmaceutical Sales through an open innovation program. The program brings together demand-side organizations, including medium-sized and larger businesses, and small and medium-sized technology suppliers to apply new technology on site and assess commercial potential.

Korea's First ROSCon KR 2026 Draws Three Applicants per Seat
ROSCon Korea 2026 was held on January 21–22 at the Pangyo Global Biz Center to expand robotics expertise and strengthen the open-source community in Korea. Co-hosted by PinkLAB, XYZ, and Kwangwoon University, it was Korea's first regional conference dedicated to ROS (Robot Operating System), one of the world's most widely used robotics software platforms. According to PinkLAB, paid early-bird tickets sold out within seven hours, with approximately 750 applicants competing for seats at a ratio of about three to one.

PinkLAB Wins Corporate Award for AI and Robotics Education for Second Consecutive Year
PinkLAB CEO Hyunggi Min commemorates receiving the Startup Grand Prize for AI and robotics education for the second consecutive year at MoneyToday's 11th Korea Corporate Awards 2025, held remotely. PinkLAB develops Physical AI and AI robots. A company representative said that PinkLAB had signed an official agreement with ROS, one of the world's most widely used robotics software platforms, and planned to host the first ROSCon Korea through that agreement.

PinkLAB Successfully Hosts the 2025 WCRC Autonomous Robot Competition
The 2025 WCRC (World Creative Robot Contest) Autonomous Robot Competition brought together future robotics talent. More than 100 entrants took part in the preliminaries, with 24 teams reaching the finals: 16 in the senior division and eight in the university/open division. Now in its third year, the event was run by PinkLAB and hosted by the Korea Robot Education Contents Association, with support from organizations including the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korean Intellectual Property Office. The senior division welcomed middle and high school students, while the university/open division welcomed university students and the general public.

PinkLAB Plays a Key Role in Physical AI Development for Gyeongbuk–Daegu Megacity Project
AI and robotics specialist PinkLAB, led by CEO Hyunggi Min, announced on the 16th that it had been selected to join the Gyeongsangbuk-do and Daegu consortium for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's 2025 Megacity Cooperation Advanced Industry Development Support Program. The project aims to develop Physical AI systems that drive regional manufacturing innovation through cooperation between the two regions. With a total budget of KRW 9 billion over two years, it combines physical components such as robots and sensors with AI, focusing particularly on AI dual-arm collaborative robots and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).

Gyeongbuk and Daegu Selected for Megacity Project, Securing KRW 4.7 Billion in National Funding
Andong, Newsis — Reporter Ryu Sang-hyeon: Gyeongsangbuk-do and Daegu were selected for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's 2025 Megacity Cooperation Advanced Industry Development Support Program, securing KRW 4.7 billion in national funding. According to Gyeongbuk on the 14th, the program aims to strengthen regional innovation in advanced fields such as AI, robotics, mobility, and biotechnology through cooperation among local governments at the megacity level. The two regions formed an industry–academia–research consortium including Gyeongbuk Technopark, Daegu Mechatronics & Materials Institute, regional industry promotion organizations, the Korea Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Kyungpook National University, Neuromeka, SL, Namgyeong Soft, and PinkLAB.

PinkLAB Wins Startup Grand Prize for Deep Learning and AI Robotics Education
PinkLAB CEO Hyunggi Min commemorates remotely receiving the Startup Grand Prize for deep learning and AI robotics education at MoneyToday's 10th Korea Corporate Awards 2024. PinkLAB develops road navigation, logistics robot navigation, and fleet management systems based on AI and robotics technologies. The company recently received a Minister of Science and ICT Award for this work.

PinkLAB Registers Patent for Robot Fleet Localization System
PinkLAB, led by CEO Hyunggi Min, announced on the 11th that it had registered a patent for a localization system for robot fleet management. The system estimates a mobile robot's indoor position accurately using data collected by LiDAR and cameras. Based on Adaptive Monte Carlo Localization (AMCL), it recognizes its surroundings and analyzes obstacles in real time.

PinkLAB Launches Pinky AI Education Robot Series
PinkLAB, led by CEO Hyunggi Min, announced on the 31st that it had launched the Pinky series for AI robotics education. According to the company, interest in educational applications is increasing as robotics technology advances. Demand for related training is growing, particularly in autonomous navigation, a core robotics technology. PinkLAB developed Pinky using its experience in robotics education.

Seoul National University Regional Talent Program Hosts Agricultural AI Robotics Summer Camp
Seoul National University's University Alliance Regional Talent Development Program announced on the 17th that it held an Agricultural AI Robot Applications and Practice summer camp from the 9th to the 12th at the Siheung Campus Education Cooperation Building. Organized by Professor Kim Hak-jin, the program brought together undergraduate and graduate students in agricultural machinery and smart farming from 12 universities. PinkLAB provided foundational AI and robotics theory and practical training. Days one through three covered robot setup, OpenCV, ArUco markers, YOLO, and deep learning. On day four, teams of four undertook creative engineering design tasks, followed by an agricultural AI robot competition on day five.

SpringCloud and PinkLAB Sign Agreement for Autonomous Navigation and Robotics Education Using Open-Source Autoware
Techworld News — Reporter Park Ji-seong: Open-source autonomous navigation specialist SpringCloud signed a strategic agreement with robotics solutions developer PinkLAB to expand Korea's Autoware and robotics market through autonomous navigation and robotics education. Drawing on their accumulated Autoware knowledge, technology, expertise, and methods, the partners will develop and operate systematic training in Korea for autonomous hardware and the needs of education and industry. SpringCloud will lead course planning, development, customer acquisition, and sales, while PinkLAB will develop training content, build systems, and manage operations. SpringCloud CEO Song Yeong-gi said the agreement would lay the groundwork for growth in Korea's open-source Autoware ecosystem and help train developers, creating a new milestone for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He expressed the partners' commitment to accelerating recognition of Autoware's value.

Korea Robotics Society Successfully Holds Its 2022 General Assembly
The Korea Robotics Society held its 2022 general assembly on the afternoon of the 2nd at Park Ruan in Yeoksam, Seoul. Approximately 50 full members attended, including President Jo Hye-gyeong; former presidents Seo Il-hong of COGA Robotics, Professor Gwon In-so of KAIST, Director O Sang-rok of KIST, Professor Choe Hyeok-ryeol of Sungkyunkwan University, Professor Kang Cheol-gu of Konkuk University, and Dr. Jo Yeong-jo of ETRI; incoming president Professor Jeong Nak-yeong of JAIST; incoming senior vice president Dr. Choe Hyeon-taek of KRISO; and auditor Professor Lee Min-cheol of Pusan National University.
